It has been five years since the Ste-Agathe Historical Society held its fundraising campaign to build the Preservation Center. This structure is now the home to numerous artifacts depicting the cultural heritage of this community. As many of you have had the opportunity to visit the Center, you have certainly noticed the growth of the collection. The reception area contains the Society’s noted collection of photographs with over 50 albums containing photos of town families, town history, school history, the society’s history, the church’s history, and its annual breakfasts held since 1979. The newest addition to the albums is the compiling of community members who have served in the military. This on going project of honoring our men and women who have served in the military includes 8 albums of data and photographs from the Civil War to the present Middle East Conflict. The first floor also houses the Soldier Display Room, the Notre Dame de la Sagesse Convent, the prized 100 year old loom, an old fashion kitchen center, lumbering artifacts, farm artifacts, and the 1926 McCormack threshing machine.

The upstairs is home to the religious artifacts, school related artifacts, firemen artifacts, World War I and World War II artifacts, and other community related artifacts.
